These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the use of services provided by Open Bus Albania, including but not limited to hop-on hop-off city tours. By purchasing a ticket or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
1. Services Provided
Open Bus Albania operates sightseeing city tours on a hop-on hop-off basis, offering passengers the freedom to explore key landmarks at their own pace. Our services include:
- Transportation via branded, open-top tour buses.
- Multi-language audio commentary provided on board.
- Multiple designated stops at tourist attractions and landmarks.
- Flexibility to board and disembark at any official stop within ticket validity.
- Occasionally, combo offers with third-party attractions or services.
Please note:
While Open Bus Albania may suggest or promote third-party attractions, services, restaurants, or events through brochures, on-board commentary, or partnerships, we do not take any responsibility for the quality, safety, availability, or experience of these external services. Any interaction or transaction with a third-party provider is made solely at the discretion and responsibility of the passenger.
2. Tickets and Validity
2.1 Ticket Types:
- 24-Hour Ticket: Valid for 24 consecutive hours from the time of first validation.
- 48-Hour Ticket: Valid for 48 consecutive hours from the time of first validation.
- Combo Tickets: May include entry to attractions or bundled services; each may carry separate terms and conditions.
Bonus Perks:
With any valid Open Bus Albania ticket, passengers are eligible for exclusive discounts at select local attractions, services, shops, and experiences listed in the “What to Do in Tirana” section on our website and in our printed brochures.
These offers are provided by third-party partners and may vary. Passengers must present a valid ticket to redeem the discount at participating locations.
2.2 Sales and Delivery:
- Tickets can be purchased:
- Online via the official website or authorized resellers.
- Offline at designated ticket points or from staff at bus stops.
- Upon purchase, customers will receive a digital or printed ticket, which must be shown upon request.
2.3 Conditions of Use:
- Tickets are non-transferable and must be carried at all times.
- A lost, stolen, or damaged ticket will not be replaced or refunded.
- Open Bus Albania is not responsible for the misuse or unauthorized resale of tickets.
3. Refund and Cancellation Policy
3.1 Standard Refunds:
- A 100% refund is offered for cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled tour date/time.
- Refunds must be requested in writing via email or through the original sales platform.
3.2 Non-Refundable Cases:
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour.
- No-shows or missed tours due to late arrival.
- Lost or damaged tickets.
- Partial use of ticket (e.g., hopping on once without using full validity).
4. Passenger Responsibilities
4.1 Conduct and Safety:
Passengers are required to behave respectfully and follow safety rules:
- Keep the ticket visible or readily available at all times.
- Remain seated while the bus is in motion.
- Do not lean out or place hands, arms, or objects outside the vehicle.
- No eating, drinking alcohol, or smoking on board.
- Loud, disruptive, or offensive behavior may result in removal from the bus without refund.
- Follow all safety instructions provided by staff or displayed signage.
4.2 Responsibility for Children:
- Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Parents or guardians are fully responsible for supervising their children at all times.
5. Service Interruptions and Modifications
Open Bus Albania reserves the right to alter service operations as necessary:
- Delays may occur due to traffic, construction, public events, or force majeure.
- Route changes or skipped stops may be implemented without notice if necessary.
- Services may be suspended temporarily or rerouted due to weather conditions, road closures, or special city events.
- No compensation or refund will be offered for changes outside of the company’s control.
6. Weather Policy
- The service operates in most weather conditions (rain, wind, etc.).
- In cases of extreme or hazardous weather, services may be delayed, limited, or canceled in the interest of safety.
- No refunds are issued due to adverse weather conditions, unless the entire service is canceled by Open Bus Albania.
7. Liability Disclaimer
- Passengers use the service at their own risk and are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings.
- Open Bus Albania is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal items either on board or at bus stops.
- The company is not responsible for injuries or accidents resulting from a passenger's failure to comply with safety instructions, including standing while the bus is in motion or leaning over guardrails.
- In the event of an incident (e.g., a traffic accident involving an Open Bus Albania vehicle), all passengers are protected under a third-party liability insurance policy.
- The insurance coverage includes up to €50,000 per passenger for bodily injury or damage, in accordance with Albanian law and insurance terms.
- Insurance claims are subject to verification and approval by the insurer and must follow standard reporting procedures.
8. Accessibility
- We strive to accommodate all guests, including passengers with mobility limitations.
- Some buses in the fleet may be wheelchair accessible; however, passengers are advised to contact us in advance to confirm availability.
- Guide dogs and assistance animals are welcome.
9. Group Bookings and Partner Offers
9.1 Group Tours:
- Group bookings (10 passengers or more) must be arranged in advance and may be subject to custom pricing and tour conditions.
9.2 Third-Party Services:
- Open Bus Albania is not responsible for delays, changes, or quality issues related to third-party attractions included in combo tickets.
- Each third-party attraction may have its own terms, entry times, and policies.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania.
- Any disputes arising from the use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Albanian courts.
